Creating art is not only fun, but it brings peace and clarity to my mind. Sitting down to a clean piece of paper, I am excited by the endless possibilities, yet at the same time, I must fearlessly mar that surface, paring down the infinite until it is just one. At the end of a successful piece, I feel uplifted, rejuvenated and content.

Much of my work is pen and color on paper. Paper and pen are common and unassuming, and I like the idea of transforming something  humble into something of beauty.

In my training as an artist, I worked to make my drawings as realistic as possible. A fellow artist later opined that making art requires a vision. Since then, I have let my vision and the line of my pen lead me where it may.
